Bio
Dr. Gao Yujia is a Consultant Surgeon at the National University Hospital in Singapore, specializing in liver, pancreas, and transplant surgery. He also serves as the Assistant Group Chief Technology Officer at the National University Health System (NUHS), where he leads innovation at the intersection of medicine and emerging technologies. His pioneering work in immersive technologies includes the development of Mixed Reality (MR) applications for surgical practice, medical education, and digital health infrastructure.
As a HIMSS APAC Advisory Board Member, he contributes to shaping the future of digital health across the region.
He is also deeply engaged in academic medicine, currently serving as Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and Adjunct Assistant Professor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr. Gao’s multidisciplinary leadership spans clinical innovation, digital-twin modeling, 5G hospital systems, and data integration — positioning him at the forefront of the digital transformation of healthcare.
