Abstract
AI is everywhere — but how far will it really go? This panel explores the technological opportunities and limits of AI today, and where the next breakthroughs might (or might not) take us. From foundation models to autonomous systems, AI offers powerful new possibilities in healthcare, transportation, education, and industry. However, it still faces significant limitations—particularly in areas such as energy efficiency, data requirements, reasoning ability, and trustworthiness.
In this panel debate, three leading AI experts will challenge each other’s perspectives on what is achievable, what is hype, and what technical barriers may prove harder to overcome than expected. Moderated with a focus on sharp dialogue, the session will provide both bold visions and grounded skepticism, leaving the audience with a clearer view of how far AI can actually go — and what might stop it.

Robert Lucianiis an AI engineering expert and entrepreneur with deep experience in high-performance computing, machine learning, and enterprise innovation. He is Founder & CEO of Nerv Dynamics, AI Wizard at SVT, and Co-founder & CTO of Mediqtech, previously serving as Co-founder and Technology Advisor at The AI Framework. His background spans GPU programming, distributed systems, UNIX kernel design, and enterprise cloud architecture. Bridging technical depth with business strategy, Robert helps organizations accelerate AI adoption and is also an accomplished jazz-fusion composer.
Panelists
Amy Loutfi is a Professor at Örebro University and Linköping University, where she leads the AI, Robotics, and Cybersecurity Center and is program director for the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program. Her research spans artificial intelligence, robotics and human-robot interaction. She has long-standing collaborations with industry and the public sector, and is active in shaping Sweden’s AI strategy. In 2020, she was elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Karim Nouira is a Swedish entrepreneur, mathematician, jazz pianist, and CEO of SICS.AI, a company developing advanced AI technologies for industrial automation. He co-founded JRockit, a Java Virtual Machine later acquired by Oracle and used on 20 million servers worldwide. With a background in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Karim now leads SICS.AI, which won the 2024 Guldhanden award for “Automation Innovation of the Year.” A sought-after speaker, he inspires audiences with thought-provoking talks on AI, AGI, and industrial applications.
